Poetry London Competition 2007

The Poetry London Competition is offering a first prize of £1,000 for the best original poem, with other cash prizes on offer for runners-up. The first, second and third prize winners will also be published in the August 2007 issue of Poetry London and on the magazine’s website.

The maximum length for poems is 80 lines, and the submission fee is £4 per poem (or £3 for magazine subscribers).

Entries will be judged by Forward Prize-winning poet Jo Shapcott.

Poetry London is an international poetry magazine published three times a year, which features new names alongside acclaimed and established poets. The competition was won last year by Kathryn Simmonds for her poem 'Sunday at the Skin Launderette'.
